Cybertronic Scorpions are placed 'in-field' many weeks ahead of well orchesrated Cybertronic warzone or guerilla offensives. They burrow into the terrain and lay dormant until activated by local movement or their higher command. At which point they burst from their hiding place in a hail of plasma and dirt. If their unfortunate victim survives the inital salvo, they are unlikely to do the same after the charge of these octapedial monsters. Once their job is done they re-burrow and enter stasis until retrieved by their corporation
